I am a 26-year-old that works as a games journalist, so I'm primarily only free during evening hours (my time zone is Mountain Standard Time).I've done a decent amount of roleplay before, though I've only been playing FFXIV for a year and a half or so. Dedicated to Moonlight

guided by moonlight. While most Keepers of the Moon are devout followers of the goddess Menphina, few — if any — have more faith in the Lover than young Selena. Born on a leap year's 32nd Sun of the First Umbral Moon with snow-white hair, starry teal eyes, and aether aspected strongly with the element of ice, the Varon family believed that she was to be Menphina's champion.Like most Keepers, Selena was taught to worship Menphina and look to her for guidance as she grew, and came to believe that it was her purpose to spread, nurture, and — if ever necessary — fight for love in all of its forms. In contrast with most of her people, however, she desired to adventure beyond the Twelveswood and see the star and its peoples.

When the young Miqo'te came of age, she made a decision to act on this desire and set out from the Shroud. Before her departure, though, her family gifted her its blessing and its most treasured heirloom: a large, magical greatsword said to have been hewn from a colossal ice crystal, and long-rumored to have been bestowed by the goddess of love herself to one who unwaveringly defended her ideals.Ever since, Selena has followed her dream and frequently journeys through the realm of Eorzea and to lands beyond, taking great pleasure in meeting new folk and doing everything she can to help good people in need. Though hers is a gentle heart, she stands ready to fight if a peaceful solution is unreachable.

performer. girlfriend. Selena sees much of herself in Zora Yvell — another outgoing, good-natured, and loving Keeper of the Moon that lifts up everyone around her, even when she could use support herself. The two have given each other much advice since meeting, and recently, Selena and Zora have entered a romantic relationship with one another.

shono kagon

thamaturge. unrequited love. Enamored by the boundless kindness and selflessness at the core of this aloof Kagoni, Selena considers herself blessed to be able to call Shono her best and closest friend. Her heart cries out for more, though her desire has not been reciprocated; even so, she'll stay. For the Keeper has vowed to guide her muse through developing feelings and be whatever she needs — even if it means enduring a quiet and perpetual heartbreak.

elenthea dupont

detective. friend. Elenthea Dupont was one of the first people Selena befriended upon her fateful long-form visit to Ul'dah. Ever since, they've grown close through deep conversation, and share a strong desire to help Shono when she needs it. The Keeper also often looks to the wise and experienced gumshoe when she's unsure of herself or how to handle a situation — especially if it involves voidsent, ashkin, or entities that are otherwise paranormal.

phoebe graven

night owl. friend. A fatuous kiss in the Quicksand gave way to one of Selena's strongest friendships, with the Keeper and Hyur bonding over heartfelt discussions about their complicated lives and feelings. Phoebe has proven herself to be a kind and thoughtful soul, and so Selena is drawn to her; in her mind, the secret of what she truly is matters not.

mesa kha

bard. friend. The one and only Bladesinger tirelessly gives to others through song and actions both, and Selena would see that effort returned in kind to Mesa Kha. Deeply appreciative of the warmth of the bard's limitless compassion, the Keeper hopes Mesa knows at least one person on the star is reaching back.

moss raincatcher

world turtle. friend. The realm needs its knights. This, Selena knows; and yet, she wishes the brave and dutiful Moss Raincatcher could let their greatsword rest and enjoy more of the star they've fought so hard to protect — perhaps unaware of their deeply rooted martyrism. She looks to them for training, and also in the hopes that she might help them smile in the precious little downtime they afford themself.

zumie-fae

freelancer. friend. Selena believes Moss could ask for no better partner in the star than Zumie-Fae. In many ways, the two Miqo'te are reflections of each other — both deeply caring, both intensely loving. Zumie-Fae has been there for the Keeper quite a few times, and in several ways; if given the opportunity, she will endeavor to return the favor.

mihrri akumaji

hunter-scholar. friend. This reserved Clan Centurio Hunter-Scholar has grown close with Selena after a series of intimate conversations on matters of the heart, and on dark days from years past. Under the surface and scars, the Keeper sees a kind heart and a loving soul — and seeks to make sure Mihrri knows she's worthy of finding brighter times.
